(Amrun Bil Ma’roof Wa Nahyun A’nil Munkar)
The meaning of (Amrun Bil Ma’roof Wa Nahyun A’nil Munkar) is “To command to do good and forbid evil”
Dear Islamic brothers and sisters! Allah Az'zawajal is All Powerful (Omnipotent). He Az’zawajal is not needy of anything or anyone. He Az’zawajal made this World with His Divine Power and then adorned this world in many ways. Then Allah Az’zawajal sent humans to inhabit the World.
Then from time to time in order to Command these humans to do good and forbid them from evil Allah Az’zawajal sent His Messengers and Prophets.
If Allah Az’zawajal wishes, He can rectify the Human’s without sending Messengers and Prophets. However, it is Allah Az’zawjal’s wish that human’s command to do good and forbid evil, by this they should suffer and bear hardships with patience and Allah Az’zawajal in return will grant them much reward and high a status.
Accordingly, to carry out this mission of Amrun Bil Ma’roof Wa Nahyun A’nil Munkar Allah Az’zawajal kept on sending Messengers and Prophets to this world and in the end He Az’zawajal ended the long sequence of Prophethood by sending His Dear Beloved Muhammad (Sallalahu alaihi wassalam) who is the Leader of all the Prophets.
Then Allah Az’zawajal entrusted the obligatory duty to command to do good and forbid evil to the Ummah (followers) of his Dear Beloved Prophet(Sallalahu alaihi wassalam), to keep on reforming each other.
Therefore, every Muslim in his own capacity is a Mubaligh (preacher) of Islam and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wasallam) for as long as this world lasts, whatever field of work he may be in. Whether he is an Alim (Scholar) or an Imam (Leader of Prayers), a Peer (spiritual guide) or a Mureed (Disciple of a Peer), a tradesman or an employee of a tradesman, an Officer or a Labourer, a Ruler or a Ruler’s subject.
In short wherever a Muslim is living or working, he or she should try to the best of their ability to reform the people around them into strict followers of the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wasallam), and should continue working for a movement which has been established to propagate the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wassalam). I.e. Dawat-e-Islami.
Allah Az’zawajal has in many places within the Holy Qur'an prompted the Muslims to command to do good and forbid evil. Accordingly, Allah Az’zawajal mentions in the Holy Qur'an (Translation Kanzul Imaan):
“And let there be (arising) from you a group inviting (people) towards goodness, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is evil. They are the ones who attain their goals.” (Surah Ale – Imraan (03) Verse 104)
In relation to the above verse of the Holy Qur'an, the legendary eloquent writer, the helper of the Muslims; Mufti Maulana Ahmed Yar Khan Naimi (Rahmatullahil Aali) writes in his classical masterpiece commentary of the Holy Qur'an Tafseer e Naimi
“O, Muslim believers! All of you should be in such an organization, or you should form yourselves into such a group or you should live as such a group that’s invites,
* All people that have gone astray from the straight path back to righteousness.
* Non Muslims to the Fold of Islam (The Only True Religion)
* Sinful people to Piety
* Heedless (Ghaafil) to spiritual wakefulness
* The Ignorant (Jaahil) to Religious knowledge
You should stop people doing bad deeds, having false beliefs, sinful actions, bad intentions and bad ideas.
Mufti Ahmed Yar Khan Naimi(Rahmatullahil Aali) further says:
All Muslim’s are preachers of Islam. It is their obligation to command to do good and forbid evil.
My Dear sweet Islamic brothers and sisters, we live in a time when Christian missionaries and Jewish movements are doing their utmost to spread the teachings of their false religion. However the Muslim cannot take the time out from his or her worldly businesses to do the work of Islam. We have come to such a malicious period of time that Muslim’s cannot be recognized as Muslim’s anymore.
Muslim’s are striving to mould their lives in exactly the same way as the non Believer’s. Muslim’s are doing their utmost to imitate the non Muslim’s. Ahh! Muslim’s have seemed to forget the reason why Allah Az’zawajal created them. It is very unfortunate that the Muslim’s have forgotten the Sacrifices that were made by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallalahu alaihi wassalam).
It is a shame that we Muslim’s see our time on this Earth as a time to Eat, drink and Chill out. Why should we advise people to recite Durood e Paak onto our Beloved Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wassalam), why should we follow the Sunnah (the Examples set by the Holy Prophet Sallalahu alaihi wassalam), why should we take time out from our so valuable life which we spend disobeying Allah Az’zawajal.
Muslim’s try so hard and spend so much to look like Non Believer’s. What a big effort we make! However let’s ask ourselves would any Non-Believer make an effort to dress like a Muslim, to look like a Muslim? But Muslim’s just like the Non Believer’s enjoy walking around bare headed, beard and moustache clean shaved, with shirts tucked into western tight trousers which are haraam because they reveal the figure of the parts of the bosy are supposed to remain concealed from sight, some Muslim’s, Allah forbid walk around with a tie on aswell. The tie resembles a Christian cross, therefore Many Scholars of Islam have ruled against it.
Regrettably! We have come to such a stage that any Muslim dressed in the Sunnah of the Prophet Sallalahu alaihi wassalam is not accepted and is disliked by the Muslim’s at large.
Condition of the Muslim Youth
Ahh! Allah Az’zawajal forbid the situation of the Muslim youth has become very bad.
Our young Brothers
Love for the Prophet, nah man, then we will have to get rid of our expensive clothes and dump our gyals.
Nah man! We haven’t got time for the Prayers, were busy chilling init.
It is really sad that these days nearly every young Muslim brother wants to be a bad boy, wants to be a gangster.
Our Muslim brothers do not feel complete if they haven’t got an earring, big chains and of course a girl friend who they can commit Zina (Adultery) with. Growing up wanting to be like Tupac and Biggy.
It has been noticed that the majority of our young brothers do not pray salah, they swear at their parents, drink alcohol, smoke weed or cigarettes and have a girl friend, in most cases our young Muslim brothers and sisters are in intimate relationships together.
Our young Muslim brothers look like thugs, standing on street corners. People are scared to walk anywhere near them. Are these the same youth who are going to Spread Islam.
In reality the conditions of our young Muslim brothers is 100 times worse.
Our Young Muslim Sisters
The condition of our young sisters is in fact worse than our young brothers. Due to the obvious fact that our sisters have been neglected and left behind with regards to Islamic education, they are getting into all sorts of Haraam acts.
Asthagferullahil Adheem! Just to mention a few.
* Most of our young sisters do not wear the Hijaab and walk about bare headed , therefore disobeying Allah Az’zawajal.
* Most of our young sisters wear tight clothes, showing the figure of her body. Allowing Muslim and Non Muslims alike to glare at their bodies.
* Most of our young sisters are in intimate relationships with non Muslim’s.
o Kissing, touching, Zina and other Unlawful acts make a successful intimate relationship. Asthagferullah
* Most of our young sister do not pray and do not know how to pray.
* Most of our sisters that do wear hijaab do so because they forced to by their parents.
o It is very common amongst sisters at collages and universities to wear hijaab whilst on Campus, but at night time they take it off and change into obscene and Haraam attire and go the clubs and pubs for a night out. Many students, who leave their cities to attend universities, leave with the thought of freedom to go to clubs.
We all must know what happens at clubs. It is really sad, I cannot stop my heart from aching.
My Dear Sweet brothers and sisters! Don’t you feel like you want to cry, does hearing about our Brothers and Sisters not break your hearts.
