APRIL FOOLS DAY - The Reality ..:: APRIL FOOLS DAY - The Reality ::..
Most of us celebrate \\\"April fool\\\", on 1st of April every year and fool each other, But perhaps few of us know the bitter facts hidden behind it.
Almost about a thousand years ago, Spain was ruled by Muslims. The Muslim empire in Spain was so strong that it couldn't be defeated and destroyed by the Christians and other Non-Muslims of the West who have an ardent desire and dream sweep-out Islam from all parts of the world, they succeeded to quite an extent, but not in case of Spain where they failed, and had to face a blowing defeat again and again.
While licking their wounds, the unbelievers decided to send their spies into Spain to study the Muslim culture and to investigate about the source of power that Muslims possessed, they found that their power was TAQWAH. The Muslims of Spain were not just the Muslims by their names or because they had inherited Islam from their forefathers, rather they were Muslims who practiced Islam in its letter and spirit. They not only used to read the Quran but also acted upon its teachings. When Christians found the power of Muslims they started thinking of the strategies to break this power of unity and faith among Muslims.
They started sending alcohol and cigarettes to Spain free of cost and started to brainwash particularly the youth through temptation and injected corruption into the society. This technique of the West worked out and started weakening the faith of the Muslims in particular that of the young generation of Spain.
The result was that the Catholics of the west wiped out Islam and conquered the entire Spain bringing an END OF THE RULE OF MUSLIMS ON SPAIN SPREAD OVER EIGHT HUNDRED YEARS. The last fort of the Muslims to fall was Grenada (Gharnatah), which was conquered on 1st of April.
From that year onwards, these dreaded and eternal enemies of Islam, observe, \\\"April fools day\\\". On the 1st of April, to mark the celebration that they had tricked the Muslims and had made fool out of them. They not only fooled the Muslim Army at Gharnatah, rather they fooled the entire Muslim Ummah.
We, the Muslims, were fooled by the unbelievers - surely, they have a reason to celebrate April fool day, to keep up the spirit.
Dear friends, when we join in this celebration, we do so out of ignorance, If we were aware of this harsh reality, we would never have celebrated our own downfall.
So now, that we are aware of it, let us promise ourselves that we shall never celebrate this day. We should learn the lesson from the people of Spain, and should strive to become Muslims in our acts and deeds, never to let anybody weaken our faith.
Please forward this message to as many people you know. The more people you forward this message to, the greater will be the reward from ALLAH the Lord of the worlds here and hereafter. Please try to do it before the 1st of April, to create awareness that WE ARE NOT FOOLS ANYMORE
Also it is written in our Holy book:
O! People, those who have faith in God; it is said that any nation must not make fun of any other nation, any male of any other male, neither any female should make fun of any other female, it might happen that he/she is better then you. (QURAN)

Madani bhai.
Firstly, it is worthy to mention that April's fool celebrations/pranks have no
place in Islam.
With regards to the origins however...There's some uncertainty about when and where this
bizarre tradition began, but the most accepted explanation traces April Fools'
Day back to 16th century France. Up until 1564, the accepted calendar was the
Julian calendar, which observed the beginning of the New Year around April.
According to \\"The Oxford Companion to the Year,\\" King Charles IX then declared
that France would begin using the Gregorian calendar, which shifted New Year's
Day to January 1.
Not everyone accepted this shifting of dates at the same time. Some believed
that the dates should not be shifted, and it was these people who became the
butt of some April jokes and were mocked as fools. People sent gifts and invited
them to bogus parties. Citizens in the rural parts of France were also victims
of these jokes. In those days, news traveled slowly and they might not have
known about the shifting of dates for months or years. These people also endured
being made fun of for celebrating the new year on the wrong day.
Today in France, people who are fooled on April 1 are called \\"Poisson d'Avril\\",
which literally means the \\"April Fish.\\" One common joke is to hook a cardboard
fish to the back of a person. What a fish has to do with April Fools' Day is not
clear. Some say the fish is related to the zodiac sign of Pisces, which is
represented by a fish, and falls near April. It's interesting to point out that
Napoleon earned the \\"Poisson d'Avril\\" monicker when he married Marie-Louise of
Austria on April 1, 1810.
It's probably no coincidence that April Fools' Day is celebrated at the same
time that two other similar holidays are celebrated. In ancient Rome, the
festival of \\"Hilaria\\" was thrown to celebrate the resurrection of the 'god'
Attis. \\"Hilaria\\" is probably the base word for hilarity and hilarious, which
mean 'great merriment'. Today, Hilaria is also known as \\"Roman Laughing Day\\". In
India, the Holi festival celebrates the arrival of spring. As a part of that
festival, people play jokes and smear colors on each other.
There's no clear connection between the modern observance of April Fools' Day
and these two ancient celebrations, which lends most historians to accept the
French explanation for how April Fools' Day developed.
Insha'Allah azzawajal, hope this sheds a little more light on the mentioned issue. But again, this in no way means that these pranks are endorsed by Islam.
